AHA Studio holds a clearly defined position that few Perth practices claim: mid-century modern, drawn from local post-war architects like Gus Ferguson and Iwan Iwanoff as much as from Eames and Koenig. Director Andrew Hagemann has been a registered architect since 1992 and also holds a building contractor licence, an unusual combination. The studio's Deepwater House in Mount Pleasant took recognition at the 2025 WA Architecture Awards, joining Concrete House in Wembley and Filter House in Mount Lawley in a consistent body of work.
