Steelehouse Architecture

Design-focused architecture with compelling, environmentally sensitive forms.

Steelehouse was formed in 2010 when architect Nathan Steele and landscape designer Bindi House combined their studios, and that pairing still defines the practice: buildings and gardens conceived together rather than sequentially. Operating from the Pakenham Street Art Studios in Fremantle, the practice specialises in heritage-responsive additions and new houses, and took recognition at the 2025 WA Architecture Awards for Sheridan House. Client testimonials consistently highlight full-service delivery from DA through construction review.

Why they made the list

2025 WA Awards recognition plus a distinctive architecture-and-landscape founding partnership, with unusually strong documented client feedback.
