Bluestone Pools

Engineering-led luxury pool design.

Bluestone took SPASA WA Pool of the Year for an infinity edge pool designed for a sloping riverside site, where the pool does considerably more than meets the eye: raised above ground level to preserve uninterrupted river views with minimal fencing, it also acts as retaining and foundation structure for the home's main and basement levels. The 16.5 by 5.5 metre design incorporates a three-metre raised island spa with reclined seating and stainless fittings, detailed so the water appears to run beneath it. This is pool design as structural engineering as much as landscape.

Why they made the list

SPASA WA Pool of the Year for a design that integrates structurally with the house itself, a level of engineering ambition rare in residential pools.
