Architects in Subiaco

Subiaco's housing stock is dominated by Federation and Victorian cottages on narrow lots, much of it within heritage character areas. That makes it renovation and rear-addition territory rather than a new-build suburb, and the practices that do well here are those experienced at getting light and volume into constrained sites without losing the street frontage. Several design studios are based in the suburb itself.
